Ben & Sue | Cheyenne Wedding Photographer | Estes Park, Colorado

This might be one of the most heartfelt ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed. I just love when couples tailor their ceremonies to reflect who they are and how they intend to continue their lives together. Ben and Sue have a very genuine relationship, and their wedding ceremony in Estes Park certainly attested to that. This was the first quadruple ring ceremony I’ve ever seen; a ring ceremony between not only the bride and groom, but a surprise one that also included the bride’s two daughters. Ben and Sue made a commitment to them as well; a commitment to be a family. It was one of the rare times I was unable to keep the tears in check during a ceremony. Sure, I tear up all the time during weddings. How can I not? But it was during this ceremony that I had a very hard time holding back the tears.

That just seemed to be the beginning of incredible details for this day. The reception was full of them too. Ben is a firefighter for Laramie County, and the couple included a firefighting tribute for the “fallen firefighter,” in honor of Ben’s father. The tribute consisted of a prayer during the reception and an empty table set with various symbolic items.

The cake and cupcakes were gorgeous and were topped with edible butterflies. And wow, did this family know how to have fun! I am quite certain this was one of the best parties in Colorado that night. Hope you enjoy these as much as I did. Thanks for stopping by! Ben and Sue, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your special day. I am extremely honored to have been a part of it! Congratulations and blessings on a long and happy life together!
