Teton Engagement | Brooke & Joe

When I look back on these images from Brooke and Joe’s engagement session in the Tetons, it hardly seems possible we took these last summer. It feels like the world has turned upside down since then, doesn’t it? How could we ever have imagined that a wedding might not even be possible in the summer of 2020?

Many of our 2020 couples have told us that they feel like they are planning three different weddings because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each couple is trying to guess which restrictions might be in place at the time of their day, and they are weighing their options and their guests’ comfort levels for travel and gathering. Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, wait until next year? We’ve had a multitude of different decisions made this year, with everything changing, including dates, venues and the number of people invited to attend in person.

Brooke and Joe were no exception. They opted to have a small wedding this year, with their big event happening in the summer of 2021. We are so honored to photograph both upcoming events, the first of which is this coming weekend.

We took their engagement photos last fall on a gorgeous evening around Moran in Grand Teton National Park. I thought I’d share a few ahead of their upcoming big (yet smaller) day. 🙂 Congrats you two!

In case you missed it , I wrote a blog post a few months ago about how we are helping our couples reschedule. You can read that post here.

I also created a slideshow invitation for Brooke and Joe’s wedding website, in light of their changes

2021 couples, please get in touch as soon as you know your date. New couples are starting to book for 2021 and some 2020 weddings are taking Saturdays in 2021. I don’t anticipate having 2021 openings for much longer.
