Wyoming Wedding Photographers 2021 in Review
Twenty-twenty one…not really sure what to say. It was a year of so many highs and lows for me personally. However, Wyoming weddings were back in full swing, and it felt so good to be back. Many of our couples who had to postpone in 2020 were able to finally get married or celebrate with loved ones. Wedding days felt a little more like they did pre-pandemic.
We photographed 17 weddings this year, and every one of our couples was amazing. Cheyenne weddings made up the majority, but we were also able to photograph Laramie weddings, Teton weddings, a Custer State Park wedding, and a Steamboat wedding. We road-tripped to Thermopolis, photographed a troll in Jackson Hole, and I spent half a reception in an ER (long story).
On that note, I’d be remiss if I didn’t sent a huge shout out and thank you to my partner in crime, Liz Putnam. Not only is she the best and most talented second shooter on the planet, but she keeps the ship afloat when things go south. We photographed my nephew’s wedding in Casper this year, and my mom ended up falling and needing to get a CT at the ER that night. Needless to say, I was SO thankful to be able to take her while Liz held down the fort at the reception. Thank you a million times over, Liz, for everything.
I’m going to let you dive into the video below to see our wedding year, but here are a few quick highlights…
Most of the weddings we photographed were outdoor Wyoming weddings and receptions. We had two state park weddings, one in Custer State Park and one in Curt Gowdy State Park, near Vedauwoo. One overall theme that stands out for me? People were SO ready to party this year. They also seemed to be hugging each other a little tighter after the last couple years we’ve had. I know that’s a theme in my own life as we approach 2022.
Our 2022 calendar is nearly full. If you need a Wyoming wedding photographer next summer or fall, please contact us to see if we still have your date.
Happiest of New Year’s to you all, and much health and happiness for 2022. Thank you for joining me here today.
